Description | The foundation for the wooden church was laid in 1802. Between 1856 and 1857, it was replaced by a stone church. The altarpiece Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane was painted by the famous artist Kārlis Hūns. During the Soviet era, a granary and living quarters were built in the church. The church was handed over to the Krape Dairy in 1974, and Verners Pūpols, the director of the dairy, reconstructed the destroyed church, transforming the interior into a concert hall Liepziedi. Reconstruction included demolishing the dilapidated wooden baroque tower and remaking the interior. The type of parquet flooring, which is considered the only of its kind in Latvian churches, has been preserved since those days. The church is an architectural monument of regional importance.
