Menģele Evangelic Lutheran Church

The church was constructed in 1795 with the support of the Schoenvogels, the owners of Meņģele manor. Over the centuries, there have been no significant changes made. The core of the building is made of stone, but the tower is wooden. There were renovations carried out between 1833 and 1834. In the centre of the altar, which was built in the 1840s, there is the painting Golgotha by Georg Rudolf Karing, painted in 1846 and restored in 1987. The organ was built in 1933 by H.Kolbe. The building is an architectural monument of national importance.
