Aderkaši St. Maria-Magdalene Orthodox Church

The congregation of Aderkaši Orthodox church was formed in the middle of the 19th century, and the church was built in 1867. For many years, an orthodox priest Jānis Līcītis (Straumīte), the author of the recurrently published book Pareizticīgā latvieša piezīmes (The Notes of an Orthodox Latvian), served there. K.Blodons, well known for his orthodox school books, also worked there as a priest.  The church is an architectural monument of local importance.
