Ogre St. Meinard Roman Catholic Church

^{In 1995, the municipality of Ogre supported the decision by Jānis Pujāts, the Archbishop Metropolitan of Riga, and designated a building site for a new church at the corner of Upes and Meža streets. The construction was completed in 1997. The project was made by architect Laimonis Šmits. A cultural monument of national importance can be seen in the church – it is a mahogany altar made in 1901 and designed by architect Wilhelm Bockslaff. The altar was a gift from the Riga St. Mary Magdalene congregation.}

^{The church is surrounded by a 6500 m2 yard. In 2001, a metal cross (architect D. Asarīte) and a stone altar (sculptor Jānis Karlovs) were fitted in this area.}
