Aderkaši Castle Mound

The castle mound is located in a densely forested hilly area on the banks of the Taukātne, the tributary of the Ogre River. The ancient fortification was built on a steep cone-shaped hill isolated from all sides. It has two terraces that rise 15–17 m above the surrounding area. However, the height is much greater compared to the nearby Taukātne river valley. The cultural layer in the castle mound is not affluent.
